At PURR, we are committed to improving the lives of Philadelphia's most vulnerable animals by providing compassionate care and urgent support. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome homeless, neglected, and abused cats, focusing on those who have been overlooked or forgotten. Through life-saving surgeries, Trap-Neuter-Respond (TNR) initiatives, and creating safe havens for the most urgent of cats, we strive to give every feline a second chance at life, love, and a forever home. Together, we are building a community where every cat matters.

💔 Meet Prince Percy – a true royal with a heartbreaking story 💔
This stunning silver boy, with the regal looks of a Russian Blue, is estimated to be about 10 years old. Prince Percy lived his entire life in a loving home… until tragedy struck. His beloved owner suddenly collapsed outside and was rushed to the hospital. Sadly, no one realized that sweet Percy was left inside—alone—for an extended period of time, without care or comfort.
Help finally arrived and Prince Percy is now safe with PURR, and he’s proving every day what a loving, calm, and affectionate companion he is. He absolutely adores human attention and just wants to be near his people.
Unfortunately, his owner’s serious health issues mean that Percy will never be able to return to his original home. Now, he needs a new family to love him for the rest of his golden years — one that will cherish his quiet companionship and gentle heart.
